Dear all In the first place, we want to thank you for supporting the difficult decision of reprograming our meeting we had to take. We are pleased to see that it was timely, in light of the actions being taken by various governments and the IAU recommendations (The IAU General Secretary sent an email earlier today to IAU members asking organizers and participants carefully reconsider any planned trips and meetings until august 2020). Second, the main purpose of this message i...s to announce that the ISAAC Council and SIAC Steering Committee have approved to reschedule the Oxford XII / VIII SIAC Conference for March 2021. The new dates are: School: Wednesday, March 3 to Saturday, March 6, 2021 (Yes, one more day of school!) Conference: from Monday 8 to Friday 12, March, 2021 Post-conference trip: Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14, 2021 Afterwards we will send new circulars with information on the procedures we will follow for the details of the rescheduling. We will publish it on the website (http://dawson.fcaglp.unlp.edu.ar/) and on the meeting's fb (https://www.facebook.com/oxfordxii/). Please be aware of these notices. Nos alegra ver que fue oportuna a la luz de las medidas que están tomando diversos gobiernos y las recomendaciones de la IAU (la Secretaría General de la IAU envió hoy mismo un email a los miembros de la IAU pidiéndole a los organizadores y participantes que reconsideren cuidadosamente cualquier viaje o reunión planificados hasta agosto de 2020). Este mensaje es para confirmarles que el Consejo Directivo de la ISAAC y la Comisión Directiva de la SIAC han aprobado reprogramar la Conferencia Oxford XII/VIII Jornadas SIAC para marzo de 2021. Las nuevas fechas son: Escuela: del miércoles 3 al sábado 6 de marzo de 2021 (¡Sí, un día más de escuela!) Conferencia/Jornadas: del lunes 8 al viernes 12 de marzo Excursión post-conferencia: sábado 13 y domingo 14 de marzo Más adelante enviaremos nuevas circulares con información sobre los procedimientos que seguiremos para los detalles de la reprogramación. Esa información la publicaremos en la web (http://dawson.fcaglp.unlp.edu.ar/) y en el fb de la reunión (https://www.facebook.com/oxfordxii/). Por favor estén atentos a estos avisos. The date of our meeting is approaching! We publish the list of posters (http://dawson.fcaglp.unlp.edu.ar//abstracts-accepted-post/) and oral presentations (http://dawson.fcaglp.unlp.edu.ar/index .php / abstracts-accepted /) whose abstracts have been accepted for the Oxford XII / VIII SIAC 2020 Conference. The names and surnames of authors and co-authors, and the titles of the presentations appear. We request that in case of any error, please write to the conference email ([email protected]) to amend it. In the same way, we ask that any author who for some reason can not attend to the Conference, contact the organization ([email protected]) as soon as possible, so that we can reorganize the program and resolve other important organizational issues. Dear all, On this occasion we wish to announce that a call is open to offer a limited number of accommodation grants for the School students, funded by the Sociedad Interamericana de Astronomía en la Cultura (SIAC). They provide lodging in a shared room with other students of the School (double o triple rooms) in a hotel of La Plata, from the night of Wednesday April 15, to the night of Saturday April 18. To participate of this call you must be enrolled in the School, and you... need to send an e-mail to this address ([email protected]) including: * Subject: accommodation grant In the text: *name and surname exactly as in your passport or DNI *Indicate if you are student of the advanced or the basic course Also: *Attach a brief CV (maximum 1 page). *Attach a photo of your passport or DNI (the valid document to travel from your place to La Plata) The application to this grants is open from February 26 to March 15, 2020. En esta ocasión deseamos anunciar que está abierta una convocatoria para ofrecer un número limitado de becas de alojamiento para los estudiantes de la Escuela, financiadas por la Sociedad Interamericana de Astronomía en la Cultura (SIAC). Proporcionan alojamiento en una habitación compartida con otros estudiantes de la escuela (habitaciones dobles o triples) en un hotel de La Plata, desde la noche del miércoles 15 de abril hasta la noche del sábado 18 de abril. Para participar de este llamado debe estar inscrito en la escuela, y debe enviar un correo electrónico a esta dirección ([email protected]) con las siguientes características: *Asunto: beca de alojamiento En el cuerpo del mail: * nombre y apellido exactamente como en su pasaporte o DNI * Indique si es estudiante del curso avanzado o básico Además: * Adjunte un breve CV (máximo 1 página). * Adjunte una foto de su pasaporte o DNI (el documento válido para viajar desde su lugar a La Plata) La solicitud para estas becas está abierta del 26 de febrero al 15 de marzo de 2020.
